FH2 Middle School - Fall 2024

Welcome! This is the place to sign up for Forest Hills Field Hockey's middle school programs for grades 6-8.

As a club program, registration is open to players from any school district. Our aim is to offer two practices and one game each week, providing flexibility for players to participate in other activities during the season. Most practices will be on indoor turf at MSA Woodland, or during shared time with our high school teams at Forest Hills Central High School.

Locally, games will be played against teams from East Grand Rapids and Rockford, with a couple of games with teams from the Ann Arbor/Detroit areas. The big event of the season is the Middle School Challenge at Dexter. Please see our full activity calendar here.

USA FIELD HOCKEY MEMBERSHIP: For insurance purposes, all players must be active members of USA Field Hockey. USAFH membership provides additional benefits, and is also required to participate in many offseason events/programs with other organizations. If you do not have a membership, you may leave this blank for now, but will be required to provide the membership number before participating in activities.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Our club has never turned a player away due to financial need. Families are encouraged to check out programs such as Every Kid Sports, which offers assistance with a wide variety of sports programs. Scholarships are approved by the board based on the number of requests each season.

FH2 High School - Fall 2024

Forest Hills Field Hockey high school teams participate in the O-K Conference, within the Michigan High School Field Hockey League. Field hockey will become a fully-sponsored MHSAA sport in the fall of 2025.

Our goal is to maintain a "no-cut" policy with open registration as much as possible.

As a club team, registration is currently open to players in any school district that does not sponsor its own field hockey program.

All 9th-graders and first-time players will be placed initially on junior varsity (if there are enough players for two teams). Players may be moved between teams at any point during the season.

FINAL FORMS: All medical and other paperwork is managed through the FHPS FinalForms system. A link will be included in your registration confirmation email. No player can participate in team activities until their forms have been submitted and cleared by the school district.
