FH2 Coaches Earn Level 2 Certifications
EAST LANSING -- Three Forest Hills Field Hockey coaches spent the weekend learning from the country's top teacher, USA Field Hockey Director of Coach Education, Craig Parnham. Parnham was previously the head coach of the U.S. Women's National Team.
Varsity head coach Andrea Shaner, JV head coach Carol Aaron, and JV assistant Brian Bruno all attended the event. The 14-hour clinic incorporated both classroom presentations and on-field applications and was hosted by Michigan State University.
Level 2 Certification is the highest level most coaches can qualify for in USA Field Hockey, and allows them to run Futures training sites and coach education programs. Many of the other varsity coaches in the Michigan High School Field Hockey Association were in attendance.
"It was really fun, and great learning," said coach Andrea Shaner.
